After Jasprit Bumrah drew first blood dismissing Shadman Islam for 2, Akash Deep took center stage, claiming two wickets in consecutive deliveries to leave Bangladesh reeling.
Deep, who earned his national team call-up after impressive performances in the Duleep Trophy, delivered unplayable deliveries to dismiss Zakir Hasan (3) and Mominul Haque (0), shattering their stumps and causing a major dent in Bangladesh’s batting line-up.
