The South West Gippsland Dart League saw a round of close matches, with several one-point victories and thrilling performances. The Mud Rats, in particular, almost pulled off a major upset, narrowly losing to the premiership contender Predators 8-7.

Despite missing a key player, Steve led the Predators to their 12th consecutive win with an impressive five tons, holding off the Mud Rats’ momentum.

The Dart Vaders also secured a one-point win over Just Social, putting them in a tie for fourth place with the Mud Rats. Liam and Ant from Cheers dominated Fore with a combined 13 tons for a comfortable 10-5 victory. Snipers meanwhile, claimed a decisive 13-2 win over Just Social, with Bill scoring his fourth 180 of the season.

Gembrook continues to climb the ladder, securing their fourth consecutive win, placing them just one game behind the top four.

Round 24 promises more exciting contests, with Snipers and Predators battling for top spot and Mud Rats and Dart Vaders vying for fourth place.

The Mud Rats and Dart Vaders are considered the most evenly matched teams in the top six, sharing the same ladder points and percentage. Their last meeting saw Dart Vaders take a one-point victory.

A special individual competition held during the bye round saw Steve from Predators emerge victorious in the A-Grade final against Snipers’ Dean. Tony from Dart Vaders also took home the trophy in the other final, defeating Snipers’ Etty.
