**New York, September 16, 2023:** Prime Minister Narendra Modi departed for a three-day visit to the United States on Saturday, aiming to strengthen ties with key partners and address critical global challenges. His itinerary includes participation in the Quad Leaders’ Summit, interactions with US business leaders, and a keynote address at the United Nations ‘Summit of the Future.’

The Quad Leaders’ Summit in Wilmington, Delaware, will see Modi join US President Joe Biden, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. Key agenda items include collaborative efforts for Indo-Pacific development, implementation of Sustainable Development Goals, and the launch of the Cancer Moonshot initiative to combat cancer in the region.

The bilateral meeting between Modi and Biden is expected to yield substantial results, including India joining two pillars of the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity (IPEF) and a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on an India-US drug framework.
