**Columbia, MO** – The Missouri Tigers (3-0) are set to open their SEC schedule against the Vanderbilt Commodores (2-1) this Saturday at Faurot Field. The game, which kicks off at 3:15 p.m., will be broadcast on SEC Network.

Missouri’s defense, which has been a strength this season, will have to be on its toes to contain Pavia. The Tigers’ game plan will be an intriguing one, as they try to balance limiting Pavia’s scrambling ability while also being wary of his passing threat.
Vanderbilt’s offense, under new offensive coordinator Tim Beck, is looking to be a dynamic unit. Their scheme utilizes Pavia’s versatility to keep defenses guessing, and they have shown a capability to make big plays.
While Missouri is expected to win the game, a runaway victory will require the Tigers to find a way to improve their offensive production. Despite their efficient play so far, the Tigers haven’t yet been able to consistently break out for big plays.
“I think their offense is new and innovative and tough to defend,” said Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz. “They utilize their quarterback, Diego, in a lot of different ways, and he gives them a chance on every play to be explosive.”
The Commodores are coming off a disappointing loss to Georgia State last week, where they struggled with penalties and defensive breakdowns. However, they have shown flashes of potential and will be looking to upset the Tigers in their SEC opener.
