Maruti Suzuki India has introduced a new, jazzed-up version of its popular hatchback, the WagonR, called the Waltz Edition. Priced starting at Rs 5.65 lakh (ex-showroom), the Waltz Edition is essentially a cosmetic update of the standard WagonR, offering additional accessories and features.

The Waltz Edition boasts an updated chrome grille, fog lamps with chrome accents, bumper protectors, wheel arch cladding, and side skirts with body mouldings. Inside, the cabin gets a styling upgrade with new floor mats and seat covers. It also comes equipped with a 6.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, speakers, a security system, and a reverse parking camera.

Safety features remain unchanged, including dual airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and Hill-Hold.

Powertrain options remain consistent, with both the 1.0-litre and 1.2-litre petrol engines available, along with the 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options. CNG bi-fuel variants are also available. The petrol engine offers a claimed mileage of 25.19 kmpl, while the CNG variant boasts 33.48 km/kg.

The WagonR Waltz Edition will be available in three variants – LXi, VXi, and ZXi, and will be competing against other popular hatchbacks like the Tata Punch, Hyundai Exter, and the Maruti Suzuki Celerio.
