Fri Sep 20 07:18:32 UTC 2024: ## Culture Night 2024 Set for Sunny Celebration
**Kerry, Ireland:** Culture Night 2024 is poised for a successful evening under clear skies, as organizers and participants gathered at the MTU Kerry Sports Academy for the launch. Attendees, including Sophie Cronin, Conall Mac Threinfhir, Clodagh Hickey, Aideen Quinlan, Amie Moriarty, and Emma Cronin, are eagerly anticipating the nationwide event.
Met Éireann has forecast a dry and sunny evening for Friday, with long spells of sunshine expected across the country. Temperatures are forecast to reach between 17 and 22 degrees Celsius, with a light to moderate easterly wind keeping temperatures slightly cooler near the east coast.
Last year, over one million people enjoyed Culture Night, a celebration of Irish culture and creativity, and organizers are hoping for an even larger turnout this year.
While the weather looks perfect for Friday’s celebrations, a spell of heavy showers is expected to move in from Saturday evening into Sunday, particularly in the east and south of the country. The north and west are expected to experience longer spells of dry weather.
Sunday will see cloudy skies and rain in the southern half of the country, with temperatures reaching highs of 15 to 19 degrees Celsius.
Despite the potential for rain on the weekend, Culture Night participants and attendees are excited for the event. The chance to experience Irish culture in a variety of forms, under the sunshine, is sure to be a highlight for many.
