MANILA, Philippines – Renowned Original Pilipino Music (OPM) singer-songwriter Acel has announced her upcoming move to the Netherlands early next year, marking a new chapter in her life.

The former lead vocalist of Moonstar88 expressed her excitement for this new journey in a heartfelt message posted on social media. “I don’t intend this as a farewell, but rather as a fitting homage to the family, friends, and colleagues who have contributed to my journey over the years,” she wrote.

In celebration of her time in the Philippines, Acel is hosting a farewell concert and album launch titled “Being And Becoming” on October 11th at Teatrino Promenade in Greenhills, San Juan. This event, co-produced by GNN Entertainment Productions, will feature performances of songs from her latest album, offering a glimpse into Acel’s personal growth and struggles.

“This album is a result of the things I’ve processed from the past, coming to terms with how I see myself and knowing the truth of who I am and who I am meant to be,” Acel shared.

The concert promises to be an emotional experience for fans, showcasing Acel’s journey through music and highlighting the advocacies of her charity, Right Start. This organization, which Acel co-founded 14 years ago, provides creative opportunities for underprivileged children.
