Fri Sep 20 12:31:35 UTC 2024: ## Arsenal Ready to Face City Despite Tough Schedule

**London, England -** Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is confident his team is prepared to face Manchester City on Sunday, despite a grueling schedule that sees them playing their third away game in a week. The Gunners will be looking to capitalize on their recent success, having beaten Tottenham Hotspur last weekend and drawn with Atalanta in their Champions League opener.

“We’ve been preparing for this since pre-season,” Arteta said. “We knew the schedule and that it’s extremely rare to play in these conditions with three massive away games in six days, but we’ve prepared for that, physically, mentally and tactically.”

While City benefited from a midweek European home game and an extra day of rest, Arteta is refusing to make excuses. He believes Arsenal’s success, competing for trophies both domestically and internationally, has led to this demanding schedule.

“We wanted the same as them, we’re not getting it, so we have to adapt and make the most of the time that we have,” he stated. “We’re in this position right now. Let’s make the most out of it and enjoy it.”

The Gunners are aiming to secure their first league victory at the Etihad Stadium since 2015 and leapfrog City at the top of the table. Despite the challenges, Arteta remains optimistic and believes his team is ready to face the reigning Premier League champions.
