**EDINBURGH** – The grand opening of Gucci’s new store in Edinburgh was met with a demonstration from animal rights activists. Members of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) gathered outside the luxury retailer, voicing their opposition to Gucci’s use of reptile skins.

Carrying signs that read “Gucci: Ban Wild-Animal Skins,” protesters urged the fashion house to abandon the use of animal products in its designs. The demonstration aimed to highlight concerns about the ethical implications of using reptile skins, emphasizing the suffering inflicted upon animals in the production process.

Gucci has yet to respond to the protest.
