Sat Sep 21 04:52:36 UTC 2024: ## Enhanced Security for PM Modi’s US Visit Amidst Heightened Concerns

**New Delhi, India** – Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming three-day trip to the US, beginning Saturday, will see heightened security measures implemented following recent threats and concerns.

In the wake of two assassination attempts against former US President Donald Trump, Indian and American security officials have been working closely over the past 15 days to bolster protection for PM Modi. The US Secret Service has “enhanced” security at all venues the Prime Minister will visit, including Delaware and New York, with particular attention paid to potential threats from pro-Khalistan elements in the US.

PM Modi will meet with US President Joe Biden in Delaware on Saturday, before the two leaders attend the Quad leaders’ summit alongside Japanese PM Fumio Kishida and Australian PM Anthony Albanese. The summit will be held at Archmere Academy, Biden’s former high school, which is undergoing stringent security measures to prevent intruders and potential risks.

Security for PM Modi will continue to be a priority in New York City, where he will address the Indian diaspora on September 22nd at the Nassau Coliseum. The Nassau County Police will be deployed to secure the event, which is expected to attract around 20,000 attendees.

The US Secret Service is collaborating with local authorities for crowd control and security screening at all events, including the “Summit of The Future” on September 23rd, which will be held during the UN General Assembly.

PM Modi will return to India on September 24th.
