Fri Sep 20 16:16:39 UTC 2024: ## Modi Slams Congress as “Dishonest” and “Anti-National” in Maharashtra Rally
**Wardha, Maharashtra:** Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the Congress party during a rally in Wardha on Friday, accusing it of being “dishonest, corrupt, and anti-national.” He reiterated his previous claims that the Congress is run by a “tukde tukde gang” and “urban Naxals,” and accused them of appeasement politics, citing a recent incident involving a Ganesh idol in a police van in Karnataka.
Modi criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, without naming him, for his remarks against the reservation system in the US, and also targeted the party for its criticism of his visit to the Chief Justice of India’s residence during the Ganesh festival. He warned that the Congress, along with its allies, the Shiv Sena-UBT and NCP-SP, would not be tolerated by the people of India.
He also cautioned the people of Maharashtra against the return of the Maha Vikas Aghadi government, stating it would be detrimental to the state’s development. Modi held the Congress responsible for the financial distress of farmers and backward communities, claiming their policies had deliberately deprived SC, ST, and OBCs of development.
He further emphasized the importance of his government’s “Vishwakarma Yojna” to empower these communities and promote entrepreneurship, contrasting it with the Congress’s alleged neglect.
Highlighting the significance of the “PM MITRA Park” in Amravati, Modi stated that the project aims to make India a global leader in the textile sector, generating over one lakh jobs and benefiting farmers and youth in the region. He emphasized the importance of restoring the country’s traditional craftsmanship and artisan skills, aiming to establish India as the world’s third-largest economy.
The rally came ahead of the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections, with Modi’s speech clearly aimed at mobilizing support for his party and highlighting the Congress’s alleged shortcomings.
