**LAKE MILLS** – The Lake Mills L-Cats volleyball team secured a hard-fought victory over the Columbus Cardinals on Tuesday, winning 25-22, 23-25, 25-7, 25-17 in Capitol North conference play.
Junior outside hitter Sophie Hooper led the L-Cats offense with nine kills, while fellow junior Victoria Popowski added eight kills and 1.5 blocks. Freshman outside hitter Lyndsey Bender also contributed with seven kills. The victory improves Lake Mills’ record to 9-7 overall and 1-2 in conference play.
