Olamilekan Adeshina, an amateur footballer, emerged victorious, wowing spectators with his precise shots and claiming the grand prize of N300,000. Kazeem Lawal, a content creator, finished second, taking home N200,000, while fellow amateur footballer Maduagu Chimezie secured third place, winning N150,000.

Azeez, who himself has played for top Nigerian Premier Football League clubs like Enyimba, Enugu Rangers, and Warri Wolves, expressed his desire to create a new and exciting football challenge.

“I’ve seen a lot of football challenges, and I wanted to create something new,” he explained. “That’s why I made it a ‘monkey post’ penalty challenge.”

The event was a resounding success, drawing praise from participants and spectators alike. Azeez plans to continue the competition, already looking ahead to the third edition.

“From the first edition in Egbeda, we have got feedback, and we will review this edition, which is also successful, so we can begin planning the third edition for another location,” he stated.

The competition not only provided a platform for amateur players to showcase their skills but also served as a reminder to all participants about the importance of pursuing their passions. Azeez summed it up by saying, “I always use myself as an example, and it’s been said here too; you never know who is watching, so whatever is worth doing at all is worth doing well.”
