Sun Sep 15 10:40:29 UTC 2024: ## Colorado Buffaloes Dominate Colorado State Rams, Hunter Shines on Both Sides of the Ball

**FORT COLLINS, Colo. –** The Colorado Buffaloes dominated their rivals, the Colorado State Rams, in a 28-9 victory on Saturday night at Canvas Stadium. The game was highlighted by a phenomenal performance from two-way star Travis Hunter, who showcased his incredible athleticism and versatility.

Hunter, who was dubbed “phenomenal” by his coach, Deion Sanders, caught 13 passes for 100 yards and two touchdowns on offense. On defense, he recorded five tackles and an interception. He also returned a punt 38 yards and broke up a pass. Hunter’s performance is believed to be the first time in modern college football history a player has achieved such a stat line on both sides of the ball.

The victory was particularly sweet for the Buffaloes, who were fueled by a sense of disrespect from the Rams. Colorado State players, in pre-season interviews, had mocked the hype surrounding Deion Sanders and the Buffs’ program. This fueled the Buffs’ fire, leading to a decisive victory.

The Buffaloes’ offense was also impressive, with quarterback Shedeur Sanders completing 36 of 49 passes for 310 yards and four touchdowns. He spread the ball around effectively, with two touchdown passes going to LaJohntay Western in the first half and two to Hunter in the second half.

The Buffaloes’ defense, which had struggled in their previous game against Nebraska, also shone in the game against Colorado State. They held the Rams to only nine points and recorded two interceptions and two recovered fumbles.

The win provides momentum for the Buffaloes as they head into Big 12 Conference play. They will face the Baylor Bears next Saturday in a nationally televised game.

With Hunter’s incredible performance and a strong showing from the offense and defense, the Colorado Buffaloes are starting to look like a force to be reckoned with this season.
