**Hyderabad:** In a surprising move, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy lauded AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Saturday, calling him the voice of the poor and praising his advocacy for marginalized communities.

Speaking at the launch of a book, Reddy acknowledged that while Owaisi has criticized the Congress party in the past, he considers him a strong voice for the underprivileged. He highlighted Owaisi’s support for the state government’s initiatives to address pollution in the Rivers Esa and Musi, and his active representation of the issues faced by minorities, adivasis, and dalits in the Lok Sabha.

Reddy stated that Owaisi’s willingness to speak out against the Congress did not make him an enemy, and he appreciated the AIMIM leader’s outspokenness in raising the concerns of the poor. He emphasized that while many businessmen and corporate figures enter Parliament, Owaisi stands out as a champion for the marginalized, making him a valuable voice for the underrepresented.
