**LONDON** – West Ham United snatched a dramatic 1-1 draw against Fulham in a tense Premier League derby at Craven Cottage on Saturday.

Fulham looked set for a comfortable win after Raul Jimenez opened the scoring in the 24th minute. The Mexican striker capitalised on a clever pass from Emile Smith Rowe to slot the ball past the West Ham goalkeeper, giving the home side a deserved lead.

West Ham struggled to create any real threat in the first half and appeared destined for defeat. However, substitute Danny Ings struck deep into added time to stun the home crowd and salvage a point for the visitors.

Fulham manager Marco Silva expressed his disappointment with the result. “A big frustration for us because before that it was a good performance,” he told the BBC. “It was clear we were the best team on the pitch.”

The result leaves Fulham in 11th place on five points, while West Ham are in 14th with four points.

Despite dominating the first half, Fulham missed several chances to extend their lead. Adama Traore had two opportunities to score before Jimenez’s goal, while Alex Iwobi also headed a chance over the bar.

Silva was booked for protesting a challenge by Maximilian Kilman on Traore, which he felt should have been a penalty. “It was a clear, clear, penalty in my opinion. It’s difficult to understand why it was not a penalty in that situation,” he said.

The game remained tense throughout, with West Ham finally testing Fulham keeper Bernd Leno on the hour mark. However, it was Ings’ last-minute strike that ultimately rescued a point for the Hammers.

Fulham will be disappointed to have dropped two points, having remained unbeaten in their last three league games.
