Fri Sep 13 16:56:00 UTC 2024: ## Gang Member Pleads Guilty in Drive-by Shooting Near Zeldin’s Home
**RIVERHEAD, NY** – Noah Green, a 20-year-old alleged gang member, pleaded guilty Thursday to attempted murder, criminal possession of a weapon, and conspiracy in connection with a drive-by shooting that wounded two rival gang members outside the home of former U.S. Rep. Lee Zeldin in Shirley, Long Island.
The incident occurred on October 9, 2022, while Zeldin, then a Republican candidate for governor of New York, was away. His two teenage daughters were home at the time.
“The events that took place on October 9, 2022, were traumatic for my family and couldn’t have hit any closer to home,” Zeldin said in a statement, thanking law enforcement for their swift action.
Green was arrested on October 31, 2022, with the alleged weapon used in the shooting. He was later indicted along with 17 other defendants as part of an investigation into the No Fake Love gang, which authorities say is responsible for various crimes including shootings and carjackings.
According to Newsday, Green’s attorney, Michael Alber, stated that his client “never wanted to be part of this at all” and was seeking to put the matter behind him.
Green is scheduled to be sentenced on October 15, where he faces 12 years in prison and five years of supervised release.
