Fri Sep 13 16:16:00 UTC 2024: ## iPhone 16 Pro: New Camera Button, Bigger Screens, and a Powerful New Chip
**ZDNET** has released a first look at the new iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max, highlighting the most exciting new features.
The most noticeable change is the addition of a new **Camera Control button** on the right side of the phone. This touch-sensitive button allows users to quickly open the camera, take photos, record video, zoom in and out, and adjust camera settings.
The iPhone 16 Pro models also boast larger screens with thinner bezels, making them slightly taller and thinner than their predecessors. The Pro now boasts a 6.3-inch screen while the Max has increased to 6.9 inches. The titanium sides also feature a new grippy finish, making the phones easier to hold.
The phones are powered by Apple’s new **A18 Pro chip**, which promises to be incredibly powerful. This chip enables a range of new features, including:
* **4K video recording at 120 frames per second**: This allows for super-slow-motion footage comparable to professional cameras.
* **Studio-quality audio**: Four microphones paired with software and AI allow for advanced audio mixing and editing directly on the phone.
* **Spatial Audio recording**: Capture surround sound during video recording, which can also be edited with the new Audio Mix feature.
While some AI features, like the upgraded Siri, won’t be available until the iOS 18.1 update, the A18 Pro chip is said to be powerful enough to handle them without any issues.
ZDNET’s full review of the iPhone 16 Pro will be available soon, including detailed benchmarks and comparisons. Stay tuned for their verdict on these exciting new features!
