Thu Sep 12 20:16:00 UTC 2024: ## Giants Blast Brewers 13-2 Behind Yastrzemski’s Four RBIs

**SAN FRANCISCO** – The San Francisco Giants powered past the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday night, securing a dominant 13-2 victory. Mike Yastrzemski led the offensive charge, smashing a homer and driving in four runs.

The Giants jumped out to an early lead, scoring four runs in each of the first two innings. Jerar Encarnacion, who hit a rare opposite-field homer in the first, also contributed three RBIs. Tyler Fitzgerald and Patrick Bailey each added three hits to the Giants’ offensive onslaught.

Blake Snell, the reigning NL Cy Young Award winner, pitched five strong innings for the Giants, striking out eight Brewers batters. He gave up just one run and four hits, securing his first home win in a Giants uniform.

The Brewers, who entered the game with a comfortable lead in the NL Central, struggled to find their rhythm. Starter Colin Rea lasted just four innings, giving up a career-high 10 runs and 11 hits.

Despite the loss, Brewers manager Pat Murphy expressed confidence in Rea’s ability to bounce back. “He didn’t have his great stuff,” Murphy said, “but he’ll bounce back.”

The Giants, on the other hand, continue to show their offensive firepower, building momentum as the season winds down.
