**KIEV, Ukraine – September 12, 2023** – Ukraine is aiming to export a record 43 million tons of grain in the upcoming 2024-2025 marketing year, according to Agrarian Policy and Food Minister Vitaliy Koval. This ambitious target includes a projected 25 million tons of corn and 16.2 million tons of wheat.

Koval emphasized the importance of ensuring access for Ukrainian agricultural products to foreign markets, not just raw materials but also value-added and processed goods.

Ukraine’s previous marketing year (2023-2024) saw record grain exports exceeding 50 million tons, with corn exports reaching 29.3 million tons and wheat exports reaching 18.4 million tons.

The record export ambitions come amidst ongoing challenges for Ukrainian agriculture, including the ongoing war with Russia and disruptions to Black Sea shipping routes. The ambitious target highlights Ukraine’s commitment to maintaining its role as a major global grain supplier despite these challenges.
