Thu Sep 12 15:56:00 UTC 2024: ## Presidential Debate Leaves Race Unchanged: Trump Misses Opportunities, Harris Offers Little Detail

**Bradford, PA** – Tuesday’s presidential debate saw both candidates, former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, struggle to connect with voters, leaving the race unchanged.

Despite coming into the debate with a clear strategy to highlight Vice President Harris’ “radical” record and remind voters of his own accomplishments, Trump missed several opportunities. While he effectively attacked Harris’ policy inconsistencies and challenged her lack of action on campaign promises, he was repeatedly baited by her into personal attacks, ultimately appearing angry and off-topic.

Meanwhile, Harris, while facing tough questions about her shifting positions, offered little detail on her own agenda. Her focus on “values” and a vague “opportunity economy” did little to differentiate her from the Biden-Harris administration’s record.

The debate’s moderation further added to the challenge, with ABC’s bias seemingly favoring Harris. While aggressively fact-checking Trump and frequently cutting him off, moderators lobbed “beach balls” to Harris, often avoiding tough follow-ups and ignoring her falsehoods.

This inconsistency left many voters unsure about both candidates, particularly as a recent New York Times poll found over 25% of likely voters seeking more information about Harris.

Despite the moderators’ perceived bias, the debate ultimately did little to sway the race, leaving it a tight toss-up.
