Thu Sep 12 03:35:50 UTC 2024: ## Camp Hill Lions Roar Past Middletown Blue Raiders in Convincing 5-0 Win
**CAMP HILL, PA** – Camp Hill’s Ty Kirchhoff dominated the field Wednesday night, leading the Lions to a resounding 5-0 victory over the Middletown Blue Raiders. Kirchhoff’s hat trick, his second of the season, and an assist propelled the Lions to their third win of the season.
The Lions, who have struggled to find consistency early in the season, came out strong against a tough Middletown team with a 6-1 record. “Every game is important, but we were especially looking forward to this one,” Kirchhoff said. “We’re still figuring things out as a team, but tonight we got lucky.”
Camp Hill opened the scoring in the 21st minute when Kirchhoff set up Ben Dade for the first goal. Kirchhoff then added a goal of his own before halftime, extending the Lions’ lead to 2-0.
The second half saw the Lions dominate the field. Ian Lentz converted a penalty kick in the 49th minute, followed by two more goals from Kirchhoff to put the game out of reach.
“Middletown is a very well-coached team, and we knew it would be a tough game,” said Camp Hill head coach Justin Sheaffer. “We got some breaks tonight, and we’re happy with the win.”
Middletown coach Brian Keyser admitted his team was out of character. “We’ve been playing so well, so tonight is disappointing. We lost our momentum, and I need to do a better job of getting the team ready to go from the start.”
The Lions will look to build on their momentum as they host Boiling Springs Thursday, while Middletown will attempt to bounce back against Trinity on Monday.
