**New Delhi:** MG Motors has launched its latest electric vehicle offering, the Windsor EV, in India. Priced competitively at ₹9.99 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom), the Windsor EV slots in between the existing Comet EV and ZS EV in MG’s electric lineup.

**Accessible Electric Mobility:** The Windsor EV comes in three variants – Excite, Exclusive, and Essence – aimed at making electric mobility accessible to a broader audience. Bookings open on October 3rd, with deliveries commencing on October 12th.

**Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) Model:** One of the key highlights is MG’s innovative BaaS program. This allows customers to rent the battery, significantly reducing the upfront cost. Customers opting for BaaS will pay ₹3.5 per kilometer, which MG claims is 40% less than fuel costs for petrol or diesel vehicles.

**Stylish and Feature-Rich:** The Windsor EV boasts a sleek, minimalist exterior with connected LED lights, 18-inch alloy wheels, and flush door handles. The cabin is luxurious and tech-laden with a 15.6-inch touchscreen, an 8.8-inch digital driver’s display, reclining rear seats, and a panoramic sunroof.

**Safety and Range:** The Windsor EV prioritizes safety with six airbags, a 360-degree camera, TPMS, and ESC. It’s powered by a 38 kWh battery pack delivering 136 PS and 200 Nm of torque, offering a claimed range of 331 km on a single charge.

**Charging Options and Incentives:** The Windsor EV supports multiple charging options, including a 3.3 kW AC charger, a 7.4 kW AC fast charger, and a 50 kW DC fast charger. MG is offering free public charging for a year and a lifetime battery warranty for initial customers.

**Competition:** The Windsor EV enters a competitive segment, taking on rivals like the Tata Nexon EV, Mahindra XUV400 EV, and Tata Punch EV. With its combination of features, range, and price, the Windsor EV aims to make a strong impact in the Indian electric vehicle market.
