Mumbai: Bollywood actress Malaika Arora is in mourning after her father, Anil Arora, died by suicide on Wednesday morning. The retired Indian Merchant Navy officer reportedly jumped from the roof of his home, leaving the family reeling from shock and grief.
Malaika, who was not in the city at the time, rushed back to her father’s home upon receiving the news and was seen in a distraught state. Her younger sister, Amrita Arora, was also visibly heartbroken.
The family was seen being comforted by close friends and family, including Malaika’s ex-husband Arbaaz Khan and her current partner Arjun Kapoor. The entire Khan family, including Salim Khan, Salma, Sohail, and Alvira, was present at the Arora residence, providing support during this difficult time.
Anil Arora, a Punjabi Hindu, had married Joyce Polycarp, a Christian, and the couple had two daughters, Malaika and Amrita. The couple divorced when Malaika was young, and she faced the pain of her parents’ separation early in life. Now, she faces the immense grief of losing her father.
