**ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN** – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued a stern reminder to all members of parliament and provincial assemblies to submit their annual Statements of Assets and Liabilities by December 31st, 2024. This includes details of their spouse and dependent children’s assets as of June 30th, 2024.

Failure to comply with this mandatory requirement, outlined in Section 137 of the Elections Act, 2017, will result in suspension of membership. The ECP will publish the names of those who miss the deadline and, if they haven’t submitted the statement by January 15th, their membership will be suspended.

The ECP has provided Form-B for submitting the details, which is available at the Election Commission Secretariat, offices of Provincial Election Commissioners, and online at http://www.ecp.gov.pk.

This directive highlights the ECP’s commitment to transparency and accountability within the Pakistani political system, ensuring public scrutiny of lawmakers’ financial holdings.
