Arlington, VA – Ruffino’s Spaghetti House, a beloved Italian eatery in the Langston Blvd area, is under new ownership. Henry Saavedra, who brings years of experience in the restaurant industry, purchased the business last month and is making plans to give the establishment a refresh.
While Saavedra plans to tweak the menu, adding new dishes and removing a few, he assures customers their favorites will still be available. “If anyone has a favorite in the previous menu, don’t worry,” he said. “Just ask your server and we should still be able to make it.”
The restaurant will also undergo a visual makeover with fresh paint, updated table setups, and a nostalgic touch by displaying pictures of families who have frequented the restaurant over the years. “We would love to hang pictures of the families that have been coming to the restaurant for decades,” Saavedra said.
Ruffino’s, known for its signature pizzas, pasta dishes, subs, and customizable options, will maintain its core identity while embracing a fresh perspective under Saavedra’s leadership. The restaurant has been a staple in the Arlington community since 1975, undergoing renovations in 2011 and changing hands several times.
For Saavedra, owning a restaurant has been a longtime dream, inspired by his wife’s family’s pasta and pizza restaurant in Los Angeles. With his extensive experience in the industry and passion for food, Saavedra is poised to continue the legacy of Ruffino’s Spaghetti House while ushering in a new era for the popular dining destination.
