Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou has thrown his support behind boxing legend Mike Tyson in his upcoming fight against Jake Paul. Ngannou, who trained with Tyson ahead of his own boxing debut against Tyson Fury, believes the 58-year-old veteran still has the power to knock Paul out.
“I have seen how Tyson moves around, he’s still got it,” Ngannou said during an appearance on “BS w/ Jake Paul.” “Mike will move from this side to this side without you knowing exactly at which moment – watch out for everything.”
Ngannou also warned Paul about the dangers of facing UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira, who recently knocked out Mike Perry in a boxing match.
“He’s tough. He has some tough hands,” Ngannou said of Pereira. “I think you’re going to get some tough nights. This guy is big, solid, and he’s mean. He walks straight to you like, ‘I’m going to eat this guy.'”
Tyson and Paul are set to face off on November 15th at AT&T Stadium in Dallas. The bout is expected to be one of the biggest boxing events of the year.
