CHENNAI, December 14, 2025 (The Hindu) – Teynampet police have arrested a 43-year-old domestic helper, identified as Shenbagam, for allegedly stealing gold jewelry from a residence in Alwarpet. The arrest followed a complaint filed by businessman Ajay Ayyappan, 40, residing on T.T.K. Road, Alwarpet.
According to police reports, Ayyappan employed Shenbagam through a private agency to care for his two children. He noticed three gold chains, belonging to his child and wife, missing from a cupboard on November 26th. Suspecting Shenbagam, he filed a complaint with the Teynampet police.
