Thiruvananthapuram, December 13, 2025 – Indian Air Force Group Captain Prashanth Balakrishnan Nair, a member of the upcoming Gaganyaan mission, challenged Indian startups to seize the opportunity to lead the future of global space exploration. Speaking at the Huddle Global 2025 startup festival in Kovalam, Kerala, Nair emphasized that India’s interplanetary missions are crucial not only for the nation but for the entire world.
He highlighted the significant contributions of Indian professionals to the global space industry, estimating that Indians comprise approximately 30% of the workforce at leading space research centers like NASA. Nair urged India to develop its own unique space technologies and become a leader in the field.
