KLE Technological University Graduates Urged to Embrace Curiosity and Courage by Magna CEO
HUBBALLI – December 13, 2025 – Graduates of KLE Technological University in Hubballi were challenged to embrace lifelong learning and courageous decision-making by Magna International CEO Seetarama (Swamy) Kotagiri during the university’s seventh convocation ceremony held Saturday at the Dr. Prabhakar Kore Sports Arena.
Kotagiri, a BVB College of Engineering and Technology alumnus (now KLE Technological University), delivered the convocation address, encouraging the 2,466 graduating students from programs including engineering, law, computer application, business administration, and fashion and apparel design, to continually ask “what’s next?”. He emphasized that clarity of purpose is key to transforming dreams into reality.
He advised the graduates to cultivate resilience, creativity, humility, and courage as they embark on their careers. Key advice included: “You don’t need perfect conditions, you just need to start,” and “Courage will take you further than certainty.” He stressed the importance of continuous learning, surrounding oneself with supportive individuals, and striving to leave every situation better than they found it. He encouraged small, consistent improvements, emphasizing that monumental change doesn’t require solving everything at once.
Kotagiri quoted Robert Frost’s poem “The Road Not Taken” to highlight the significance of choosing paths that others may overlook, a choice that takes courage and can shape the future for both the individual and those who follow.
During the ceremony, Chancellor Prabhakar Kore conferred degrees, and Vice-Chancellor Prakash Tewari presented a report on the university’s achievements. Twenty-one gold medals, 22 silver medals and the Dr. S.S. Bhavikatti Gold Medal were awarded to top students across various departments.
