The social media buzz surrounding “Five Nights at Freddy’s 2” was massive, reaching over 843 million across major platforms before the film’s release. The sequel is exceeding expectations despite being down from the first films $80M opening which also had a day-and-date release on Peacock.

Also opening this weekend, Gkids’ Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution garnered nearly $10M for the weekend and Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair earned an A+ CinemaScore on its opening weekend.
