BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – A Texas A&M University sophomore, Brianna Aguilera, passed away early Saturday morning in Austin, Texas, following Friday’s highly anticipated Lone Star Showdown football game between Texas A&M and the University of Texas.

Aguilera’s family is seeking answers surrounding her death. While they confirmed she attended a pre-game tailgate, the events leading up to her passing remain unclear.

The Austin Police Department reported Aguilera’s death occurred just before 1:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 29, at a student apartment complex in the vicinity of the University of Texas campus.
