Alembic Technologies Secures $145M to Supercharge ‘Causal AI’ with New Supercomputer

PALO ALTO, CA – November 13, 2025 – Alembic Technologies Inc., a pioneering causal AI startup, today announced a $145 million Series B funding round, propelling its valuation almost sixteen-fold. The company plans to invest heavily in a cutting-edge Nvidia NVL72 superPOD, hailed as one of the fastest privately-owned supercomputers, to accelerate its development of enterprise-grade causal AI models.

Alembic specializes in causal AI, a type of artificial intelligence designed to understand and model cause-and-effect relationships, going beyond simple pattern identification. The company’s “Causal Engine” aims to act as a private intelligence layer, using proprietary customer data to generate deeper insights into consumer behavior and drive better decision-making for its clients.

“Getting a real edge isn’t about using the best LLM,” said Tomás Puig, co-founder and CEO of Alembic. “It’s about leveraging the unique information your rivals can’t access.”

The funding round, co-led by Prysm Capital and Accenture Plc, will enable Alembic to deploy the NVL72 superPOD within a DGX AI supercomputing cluster in partnership with Equinix Inc. This powerful system, equipped with Nvidia’s Blackwell GPUs and running the Nvidia AI Enterprise software suite, will serve as the backbone for Alembic’s causal AI models.

“Causal AI is critical for enterprise adoption of AI,” stated Julie Sweet, Chair and CEO of Accenture. “Alembic’s Causal AI provides exactly that by moving the enterprise beyond correlation to deliver the verifiable, cause-and-effect insights leaders need to act with decisive speed.”

Alembic’s investment in a dedicated, private AI fleet ensures resource availability and allows for better optimization of its stack for causal AI workloads. The company aims to use the supercomputer to advance causal AI research and deliver real-time insights to its partners. Other participants in the funding round include Liquid 2 Ventures, NextEquity, Friends & Family Capital, WndrCo, and SLW.
