Mon Nov 17 18:20:00 UTC 2025: ## Telangana Shivers as Sirpur Records Lowest Temperature of the Winter

Hyderabad, Telangana – A cold wave has gripped parts of Telangana, forcing residents indoors as temperatures plummeted to record lows this past Sunday. Sirpur (U) mandal in Kumram Bheem Asifabad district bore the brunt of the cold, registering a bone-chilling 7.4°C, the lowest minimum temperature recorded in the state this winter, according to the Telangana Development Planning Society.

Other areas also experienced significant dips in temperature. Bazarhathnoor in Adilabad district saw temperatures fall to 8.4°C, while Pembi in Nirmal district recorded 10.1°C. Jannaram mandal in Mancherial district was slightly warmer, but still felt the cold with a minimum temperature of 11.5°C.

The freezing conditions led to deserted streets in the early hours, with many residents choosing to stay indoors and venturing out only after 10 am when the sun had a chance to warm things up.

The unseasonably cold weather is expected to continue for the next few days, and residents are advised to take precautions to stay warm and avoid prolonged exposure to the cold.
