Tue Nov 18 04:10:00 UTC 2025: ## Minister’s Name Used in Fake TTD Recommendation Letter Scam

Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh – November 17, 2025 – A new case of fraudulent Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) recommendation letters has surfaced in Andhra Pradesh, this time involving the name of Minister of Health, Satya Kumar Yadav. A complaint has been filed with the Vijayawada police by the Minister’s Personal Assistant after several devotees discovered they had purchased fake letters bearing the Minister’s name, intending to secure darshan (audience) at the Tirumala temple.

According to police reports, unsuspecting pilgrims purchased the letters from brokers, only to be turned away by TTD officials upon arrival at the temple. The officials confirmed the letters were forgeries. Victims then brought the issue to the attention of Minister Yadav’s office.

“The Minister’s office has been aware of the circulation of these fake letters for some time now,” stated a source close to the investigation. The PA’s complaint urged City Police Commissioner Rajasekhar Babu to launch a thorough investigation into the matter.

Commissioner Babu has confirmed that a case has been registered and that the police are actively pursuing leads. This incident comes shortly after authorities arrested several individuals involved in a similar scam, where fake TTD tickets were being sold under the names of MPs, Ministers, and MLAs.

These fraudsters are reportedly targeting devotees traveling from distant locations, charging exorbitant fees for the bogus letters. Frustrated and cheated, the victims are now seeking legal recourse. Devotees are urging TTD officials to take stringent action against those perpetrating these scams and tarnishing the reputation of the sacred temple.
