METZ, France – Cameron Norrie fought his way into the semi-finals of the Moselle Open in Metz, France, securing a hard-fought victory against lucky loser Kyrian Jacquet 4-6, 7-6 (7-2), 6-4. The British number one, currently ranked 27th in the world, is now one step closer to his first ATP Tour title since the 2023 Rio Open.
Norrie, who has a 30-25 singles record in 2025, endured a challenging match, facing three sets for the third consecutive time this week. He initially took a 4-1 lead in the first set but suffered a nosebleed that seemed to shift the momentum, allowing Jacquet to seize the opener. Further nosebleeds plagued Norrie throughout the match, requiring medical attention. However, the Briton ultimately prevailed, capitalizing on Jacquet’s 48 unforced errors to secure the win. He will now face Lorenzo Sonego for a place in the final.
Meanwhile, at the Athens Open, Italian Lorenzo Musetti is vying for a spot at the season-ending ATP Finals in Turin. Musetti defeated Alexandre Muller 6-2, 6-4, and must win the entire tournament to claim the eighth and final qualifying position. A victory would see him leapfrog Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime. He will face Sebastian Korda in the semi-finals.
Novak Djokovic, already qualified for the ATP Finals, continued his strong form with a 7-6 (7-1), 6-4 victory over Nuno Borges. The world number five is aiming for his second title of the year and the 101st of his career.
