**JAIPUR, October 4, 2025** – Veteran Congress leader and former Leader of Opposition in the Rajasthan Assembly, Rameshwar Dudi, passed away at his residence in Bikaner today after a prolonged illness. He was 62 years old.

Dudi had been in a coma for the past two years following a brain stroke in August 2023.

A prominent leader from the Jat community, Dudi was known as a strong advocate for farmers’ rights in Rajasthan. He was elected to Parliament from Bikaner in 1999 at the age of 36, succeeding Balram Jakhar. From 2013 to 2018, he served as the Leader of Opposition in the State Assembly.
