**Marseille and Metz Locked in Scoreless Draw After Frustrating First Half**
**Marseille, France –** Olympique de Marseille and FC Metz remain deadlocked at 0-0 after a first half dominated by Marseille but marred by their own inefficiency. Despite controlling the majority of possession and launching numerous attacks, the home side failed to convert their dominance into goals, with only one shot on target out of seven attempts.
Manager Roberto De Zerbi was visibly frustrated on the sidelines, urging his players to inject more pace into their play and improve their finishing. Marseille winger, Paixao, has been fairly quiet.
Metz, content to sit back and absorb pressure, have largely resorted to counter-attacks, though their efforts have been hampered by technical errors. They have had one shot in the first half, none on target. Metz’s counter-attacking style has been only marginally threatening.
The closest Marseille came to breaking the deadlock was a low drive from Greenwood, which was denied by the post in the second half. Late in the half, Vaz tested Fischer in the Metz goal, but his shot lacked the power and placement to truly trouble the keeper.
While Metz secured two corners in the first half, the opportunities were not successful.
The match is currently in its half time. With Marseille showing the most promise and Metz content to wait for opportunities, all eyes are on the second half.
