**Seahawks Soar to Victory Over Saints in Dominating 44-13 Rout**

**SEATTLE** – The Seattle Seahawks delivered a decisive 44-13 victory over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, highlighted by a record-breaking performance from rookie Tory Horton and a stellar showing from quarterback Sam Darnold.

Horton electrified the crowd with a 95-yard punt return touchdown, the longest in Seahawks franchise history, igniting Seattle’s early dominance. Later in the game, Horton hauled in a 14-yard touchdown pass from Darnold, marking his second consecutive game with a TD catch.

The Seahawks’ special teams were firing on all cylinders, with a blocked punt leading to one of Kenneth Walker III’s two rushing touchdowns. Walker’s short TD runs further solidified Seattle’s lead, while Jason Myers added a 56-yard field goal before halftime. The Seahawks led 38-6 at the break, marking the second-highest-scoring half in franchise history.

Darnold was highly efficient, completing 14 of 18 passes for 218 yards and two touchdowns, resulting in a near-perfect QB rating of 154.2. Jaxon Smith-Njigba, despite battling illness, contributed five catches for 96 yards and a score.

For the Saints, the loss marked their third straight defeat this season and seventh straight including last season. New Orleans struggled on both sides of the ball, amassing 11 penalties.

Defensive end Cameron Jordan voiced his frustration. “At this point, teams look at us as if we’re undisciplined,”

The Seahawks (2-1) will look to continue their winning streak when they visit the Arizona Cardinals next Sunday. The Saints (0-3) face a tough challenge on the road against the Buffalo Bills.
