Fri Jun 13 08:40:00 UTC 2025: ## Carbon County Sheriff’s Office Employees Honored as Employees of the Month

**Carbon County, UT – June 11, 2025** – Four members of the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) were recognized as Employees of the Month for June during the county commission meeting. Garrett Safley, Donna Archuleta, Erik Buchmiller, and Mike Hreinson were presented with plaques in honor of their dedicated service to the community.

Human Resources Director Kelly Payne announced the awards, with Chief Deputy Cletis Steele and Sgt. Rick Adams attending to show their support.

Steele highlighted the crucial role Buchmiller and Hreinson play as certified civil processors. He explained that their ability to handle calls while serving papers has been invaluable in managing the increased call volume the CCSO has experienced in recent years. “A lot of times they’re the first people responding to domestics, wrecks,” Steele said. “They know where everybody is. Like if we have a question and we’re trying to find somebody, they’re your go-to; they can find anybody.”

Steele also praised the contributions of school resource officers Archuleta and Safley, emphasizing their positive impact on the schools they serve. He noted Archuleta’s impressive knowledge of the student body at Carbon High School, stating, “even though Carbon High School has approximately 1,100 students, Archuleta knows all of them, what they drive and whether they’re in school during the day.”

Sgt. Adams echoed the sentiments, commending the officers for their diligence and positive attitudes. He humorously noted their impressive ability to provide information, sharing an anecdote about seeking assistance and receiving a comprehensive profile in return. “This award is way overdue and is well deserved by all of them,” Adams concluded.

The recognition underscores the CCSO’s commitment to providing vital services and its officers’ dedication to the safety and well-being of Carbon County residents.
