Tue May 20 04:50:00 UTC 2025: ## Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor’s Version)” Makes Surprise Debut on “The Handmaid’s Tale”

**Los Angeles, CA -** In a surprising move that sent Swifties into a frenzy, Taylor Swift premiered “Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor’s Version)” on the latest episode of Hulu’s “The Handmaid’s Tale” on Sunday, May 19th. The re-recorded single, a revamped rendition of her 2017 hit from the “Reputation” album, appeared in the ninth episode of the show’s sixth season.

While the track has not yet been officially released on streaming platforms or made available for purchase, its use in the dystopian drama has sparked renewed anticipation for “Reputation (Taylor’s Version).”

“I’ve been wanting to use a Taylor song for many years on the show and we finally found the perfect spot for a track from her, and I’m so glad we waited because there could not be a more perfect song for a more perfect moment,” Elisabeth Moss, star and executive producer of “The Handmaid’s Tale,” told Billboard. “Taylor has been such an inspiration to me personally. As a Swiftie myself, and I think I can speak for [co-star] Yvonne [Strahovski] and our entire cast as well, who are all Swifties, it’s such an honor to be able to use her music in the final episodes of our show.”

The original “Reputation” album, which also featured singles like “…Ready for It?”, was Swift’s final release under Big Machine Records. The album garnered a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album but lost to Ariana Grande’s “Sweetener.”

Swift began re-recording her master recordings in 2019, following Scooter Braun’s acquisition of Big Machine Label Group and subsequently, her back catalog. To date, she has released “Fearless (Taylor’s Version),” “Red (Taylor’s Version),” “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version),” and “1989 (Taylor’s Version).”

Beyond her re-recording project, Swift has also continued to release new music, including her tenth studio album, “Midnights,” in 2022, and her eleventh album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” in April 2024. She also recently completed her record-breaking, multi-year Eras Tour.

Fans are eagerly awaiting official details on the release of “Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor’s Version)” and the highly anticipated “Reputation (Taylor’s Version)” album.
