Mon May 12 23:40:00 UTC 2025: ## Rich Eisen Returns to ESPN for New Streaming Service
**NEW YORK** – After a 20-year absence, sportscaster Rich Eisen is returning to ESPN. The network announced Monday that Eisen’s popular show, “The Rich Eisen Show,” will be a key part of its upcoming direct-to-consumer streaming platform, launching this fall.
Eisen, who previously worked at ESPN from 1996 to 2003, will continue his role at NFL Network, hosting “GameDay” and covering the NFL draft. However, his daily three-hour show will now also air on ESPN’s new streaming service, ESPN+, and Disney+. There’s also a strong possibility of it airing on ESPN Radio.
The deal will operate similarly to ESPN’s agreement with Pat McAfee, with Eisen retaining ownership and editorial control. Financial terms have not been disclosed. The move is seen as a significant boost to ESPN’s new platform, which aims to compete with other streaming services by offering a wide range of sports programming. The addition of Eisen complements the already acquired “Pat McAfee Show,” with both shows slated to air concurrently. Eisen’s show will not be featured on ESPN’s traditional linear channels.
ESPN’s pursuit of Eisen follows previous attempts to recruit other prominent personalities, including Colin Cowherd, who ultimately declined. The network’s ongoing negotiations with NFL Media for the acquisition of its assets could further enhance this partnership.
