Mon May 12 14:50:00 UTC 2025: ## India Vows Retribution, Warns Pakistan After Surgical Strikes
**New Delhi** – Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation today, issuing a stern warning to Pakistan following recent cross-border tensions. He declared that India will not be intimidated by terrorism and will pursue terrorists anywhere they hide, regardless of the country they occupy. Modi asserted India’s right to take decisive action to protect its citizens from any threat.
While emphasizing that this era is not one of war, he equally stressed that it is not an era for terrorism. He delivered a pointed message directly to the people of Pakistan, stating that continued support for terrorism will ultimately lead to Pakistan’s demise. He linked the success of recent operations, implicitly referencing Operation Sundar, to his assertion that terrorism and dialogue, terrorism and trade, and blood and water cannot coexist.
Modi directly blamed the Pakistani military and government for fostering terrorism, stating their actions are self-destructive. He offered Pakistan a path to survival, demanding an end to its support of terror infrastructure as the only way to achieve peace.
He highlighted the recent attacks on Indian military installations, schools, colleges, religious sites, and civilian homes, attributing them to Pakistan’s desperation following India’s precise and forceful counter-terrorism operations. He reiterated India’s commitment to peace, but also its resolve to use its strength when necessary to defend its principles. Modi’s address coincided with Buddha Purnima, and he used the occasion to reaffirm India’s commitment to peace and prosperity for all its citizens.
