Tue May 13 01:00:00 UTC 2025: ## Light to Moderate Rains Forecast for Telangana
**Hyderabad, May 12, 2025:** The Hyderabad Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rainfall in several districts of Telangana on Monday and Tuesday. There is also a possibility of heavy rainfall in isolated areas on Tuesday, the department added.
The highest rainfall on Sunday was recorded in Wardhannapet, Warangal district (6 cm), followed by Peddapalli (2.8 cm). Nizamabad district recorded the highest maximum temperature at 41.9°C, while Vikarabad recorded the lowest minimum temperature at 39°C.
Separately, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) announced that the southwest monsoon is expected to hit the South Andaman Sea, Nicobar Islands, and the southeast Bay of Bengal on May 13th. It is then expected to spread to the South Arabian Sea, Comorin area, South and Central Bay of Bengal, and all areas of Andaman within 4-5 days.
