Sun May 11 20:20:00 UTC 2025: ## Twins Extend Winning Streak to Six with Paddack’s Strong Performance
**MINNEAPOLIS, MN** – The Minnesota Twins continued their hot streak, defeating the San Francisco Giants 3-1 Friday night, marking their sixth consecutive victory. The win extends their longest winning streak since June 2022.
Right-hander Chris Paddack delivered a stellar performance, holding the Giants to three hits through seven and two-thirds innings, striking out six without issuing a walk. His efforts earned him his first win since June 10th of last year, although Matt Chapman’s two-out home run in the seventh inning spoiled the shutout. Paddack’s outing was his second-longest in four injury-plagued seasons with the Twins.
The Twins offense was paced by Byron Buxton, who reached base three times, including a leadoff triple in the first inning. Buxton also contributed a crucial RBI single in the fifth, although an error by Giants left fielder Heliot Ramos prevented an official RBI on an earlier hit. Carlos Correa added an RBI single in the fourth, while a hit batsman and wild pitch by Giants starter Jordan Hicks led to another Twins run. Hicks pitched six innings for San Francisco.
The Giants, who entered the series a season-high 10 games over .500, saw their winning ways halted. The series continues Saturday with Logan Webb pitching for the Giants and Joe Ryan (after a two-day illness-related delay) taking the mound for the Twins.
