
Sun May 11 15:20:00 UTC 2025: ## Badaun Implements Traffic Diversions for Smooth Ganga Snan During Purnima
**Badaun, UP:** To ensure smooth passage for devotees during the Ganga Snan on the occasion of Buddha Purnima, the Badaun district administration implemented a comprehensive traffic diversion plan on Sunday night. The plan, effective from 8 PM Sunday to 12 AM Monday, focuses on managing vehicular traffic to Kachla Ganga Ghat, located on the Bareilly-Mathura highway.
SSP Dr. Brajesh Kumar Singh detailed the diversions. Heavy and medium vehicles travelling from Badaun towards Aligarh, Mathura, and Rajasthan will be redirected via Ujhani, Mujaria Chauraha, Sahaswan, Jarifnagar, Gunnaur, and Babrala. Similarly, vehicles headed towards Kasganj, Etawah, and Agra will be diverted through Naushera, Kadar Chauk, Ganjduduwara, and Sahawar. No heavy or medium vehicles will be allowed from Mujaria Chauraha towards Kasganj, and likewise, no such vehicles will be allowed from Sahaswan via Kachla towards Kasganj. The Rajkiya Medical College crossing and Civil Lines will be managed by traffic police. The Ujhani bypass crossing will be overseen by the Ujhani police station and traffic police. Police will be deployed at Mujaria Chauraha and Sahaswan to enforce the diversions.
SP City Amit Kishor Srivastava has been appointed as the nodal officer for security arrangements at Kachla Ganga Ghat, Atena Ghat, and Beladandi Ghat. A significant police presence, including seven station house officers, 40 inspectors and sub-inspectors, three TSIs, 70 head constables and constables, and 10 traffic police personnel, will be deployed to manage crowds and ensure safety during the Ganga Snan. The CO Ujhani will be posted at Kachla Ghat, assisted by CO Traffic Dr. Devendra Kumar, while the CO Dataganj will be responsible for Atena and Beladandi Ghats.
