CHENNAI, May 10, 2025 – Chennai is preparing for a large-scale solidarity march tomorrow in support of the Indian Defence Forces’ Operation Sindoor. Led by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, the march is expected to draw 25,000 participants, including ministers, dignitaries, students, and the general public.
The march, scheduled for 5 pm on May 10th, will begin at the Lighthouse and culminate at the War Memorial near Napier Bridge. To accommodate the event, the Greater Chennai Traffic Police (GCTP) has announced significant traffic diversions on Kamarajar Salai between 4 pm and 6 pm. Motorists are urged to use alternative routes, with specific diversions detailed by the GCTP for various areas and vehicle types.
