**Bengaluru, May 10, 2025** – The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced an extension to the document verification deadline for students from Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) appearing for the UGCET-2025 exam. This decision comes in response to ongoing military tensions along the India-Pakistan border.
KEA Executive Director H. Prasanna stated that only 52 out of 204 J&K students have completed the verification process so far. To alleviate concerns and ensure fair access, KEA will provide an additional opportunity for completion. If border conditions don’t improve within the next 10-15 days, the verification process will be conducted via video conferencing. All affected students have been individually notified. Mr. Prasanna emphasized that there is no need for panic among the students. This move aims to mitigate the impact of the border situation on the students’ academic pursuits.
