Mon May 05 23:30:00 UTC 2025: ## Alan Alda Gives Netflix’s “The Four Seasons” Reboot His Seal of Approval
**New York City** – Hollywood legend Alan Alda surprised attendees at the New York City premiere of Netflix’s new series, “The Four Seasons,” by showering creator and star Tina Fey with praise. The series is a reboot of Alda’s 1981 film of the same name.
In an impromptu speech, Alda lauded Fey, co-showrunners Tracey Wigfield and Lang Fisher for their adaptation of his classic romantic comedy. He expressed his delight at how Fey and her team had successfully updated the story for a modern audience, stating, “For somebody as talented and knowledgeable and skilled as Tina is, to make an adaptation of something that meant so much to me…to see her turn it into something for today, only she could have done it.”
Visibly moved, Fey responded with a joke and a kiss on the cheek, calling Alda an “absolute icon and influence.”
The original “The Four Seasons” starred Alda, Rita Moreno, and Carol Burnett, following three married couples throughout the year. Netflix’s version, starring Fey, Colman Domingo, Will Forte, and Steve Carell, follows a group of longtime friends on four separate vacations.
“The Four Seasons” begins streaming on Netflix May 1st.
