Sun May 04 19:10:00 UTC 2025: ## G2 Gozen Eyes Red Bull Instalock Victory Amidst Ongoing Debate Surrounding Women’s Valorant

**Berlin, Germany** – G2 Gozen, one of the most successful teams in women’s Valorant esports, is gearing up for the Red Bull Instalock tournament this week. Ahead of the competition, team members Amy Lai and Aleyna Vania Keskin discussed the team’s journey and the ongoing conversation surrounding women-only tournaments like Valorant’s Game Changers.

G2 Gozen, the women’s Valorant team under the G2 Esports banner, boasts a history of success, including winning the inaugural Game Changers Championship. While they’ve achieved consistent top-three finishes, the team has undergone roster changes, with this iteration of Gozen competing for the first time at Red Bull Instalock.

Lai and Keskin highlighted the importance of Game Changers, emphasizing that it provides a safe and supportive environment for women to develop their skills. They explained that the misogyny and prejudice often faced in mixed-gender ranked play hinder women’s progress. Game Changers allows them to hone communication and leadership skills without the negativity experienced in other competitive settings. They also refuted the common criticism that women-only tournaments create complacency, citing examples like Ava Florescent Eugene, who transitioned from Game Changers to a top-tier mixed-gender team.

Both players stressed that Game Changers serves as an inspirational stepping stone for aspiring female Valorant players, providing a pathway to professional play. They offered advice to aspiring players: focus on self-improvement and believe in your abilities.

While acknowledging the progress made with the increased support from Riot Games and the growth of the women’s scene, both Lai and Keskin believe further improvements are needed to foster a more inclusive environment. They named several top female players they admire, showcasing the talent within the women’s Valorant community.

G2 Gozen enters Red Bull Instalock with confidence, boasting a roster with extensive experience playing duelist characters, a key requirement of the tournament’s rules. The tournament, starting May 2nd, will see G2 Gozen compete against Falcons Vega, FlyQuest RED, and GIANTX GC.
